The Buck company for a few years now, has seemed to be selling mostly Chinese Knives. That all seems to be changing however, and the Omni Hunter is a great example of how Buck is turning things around. Made in america, with a drop point blade, the Omni Hunter is what a knife should be. Its razor sharp, and fits well within most peoples budgets. I can see this knife lasting your lifetime, and should never give you any problems at all. And if it does, its backed by Bucks Lifetime warrenty. Where else can you pay under $30, and get that kind of deal? The knife is, in my opinion the perfect size for gutting deer sized animals. I do prefer a smaller knife for cutting the lungs, heart, and windpipe out, but a knife this size is needed for the rest of the chore. It should make a good skinning knife as well. The blade has plenty of belly for most any chore. BUY AMERICAN, BUY BUCK!!!

I have owned many buck knives through the years, and I have never been disappointed with any of them. Some of the other reviews said this item is listed wrong, but that was not the case for me. I recieved the camoflauge 390cm with drop point blade just like in the listing. This knife is razor sharp right out of the box; it is the perfect size for me(though the handle could just be a smidge bigger for my large hands). It may be listed a little generously a 7 3/4" because it is a bit smaller than i had envisioned. If you have larger hands you may opt for the 392 model which is slightly larger, but for most this knife will work for about any use you can throw at it. It would be hard to find a better knife for under $30, and buck knives are guaranteed for life unlike most other manufacturers. You can't go wrong; just buy it already you will not regret it.

Before buying this item I read lots of reviews and felt real good. I was satisfied with its performance and the quality of conversation was good. However after two months of use it broke. It could no longer find the phone and make the connection. I tried different phones and they were the same thing. I had to return it and got partially refunded.

Needed a speakerphone since the speaker does not work well enough on my current cell phone. Pairs quickly with my cell (Motorola XPRT). Very happy with the sound quality for the price. I drive often for work and talk with clients. Had this for about a week and everyone on the other line assumes I am calling from the office. The charge time takes a couple hours. The device is small on the visor and not intruding even when putting the visor down to block the sun. I think I got this on a lightening deal so the price was excellent for the value. I have not tried any other features but will update if I do.

This is a great series! I used this series in a class that is geared more for high school graduates and college students. Although this is presented very well, and the scientific eveidence is overwhelmingly pro-creation, I don't think I would use it for junior high or even high school students. I only say that because some of it is detailed just enough, to lose their attention.
That isn't to say that it is way over the heads of ALL high school students, but I think I would be safe in assuming that the information wouldn't be processed well by most high schoolers. In my opinion, this is geared more for the understanding of graduate high schoolers and college students. This would be a great resource for any young adult class!

This isn't your typical youth curriculum. Focus on the Family has done a great job helping teens think more clearly about what they believe and why. The arguments and apologetics used in the curriculum will help teens stand up in the real world, outside of the safe sphere of our homes and churches.

I was a Christian going to a public school. I can clearly see how a curriculum like this could help teens who are living in that environment. It would be specifically helpful to teens that are looking to attend a secular university.

My husband, who is a scientist, and I enjoyed watching these ten lessons together. It was fuel for many conversations, and I found the experience enlightening. I wish that something like this had been presented in my teen years.

I would highly recommend this TrueU curriculum to youth leaders and/or parents of teenagers.

Normally at BookGateway. com we books for review from publishers but occasionally they will send us a DVD set to check out. This is one of those times. Tyndale and Focus on the Family launched a new line of DVD training / seminars for college age viewers focused on answering questions about the fundamentals of the Christian faith and in an effort to build a deeper and more trustworthy faith. This is volume one in that series.

Dr. Stephen Meyer, of the Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture is a Cambridge University trained doctor of history and philosophy of science, is the main speaker and the video is filmed on a set created to look like and function as a classroom. His teaching style is to question ideas and share philosophies with the students and allow interaction and conclusions to come by way of conversation. The viewers learn by watching the natural progression of thought.

Meyer focuses on topics having to do with science, something that Christians aren't always as open to as they should be, like, the Big Bang, DNA, and what he calls the "moral necessity of theism." Obviously all these topics are from the Christian perspective and while Meyer is most likely a fundamentalist he doesn't focus on inter-Christian divisive issues like young earth creationism or local flood and the like. As such, Meyer does a better job of staying on topic and educating instead of inciting as so many Christian's who speak on this topic do. The set comes with two DVDs and a 60+ page full color booklet that can be used to follow along with the teaching.

Meyer and Focus on the Family do an admiral job working through the issue of whether or not science supports the possibility of a god. My only concern is that I felt like I was in a classroom in college where I had to take notes but couldn't ask questions. To resolve this concern, the information and conversation would be great as a starting point in a small group or classroom. This would allow for conversation and digestion of the information instead of just having it handed to you.

Does God Exists? is a very well made and intellectually honest DVD set with a well respected and educated facilitator that Christians who are interested in how to reconcile science with religion should pick up and then work with a group to watch. I highly recommend it as a group discussion vehicle or small group curriculum.

I just bought this bag for my new toshiba 15.6" laptop. It fits comfortably in its' place. The velcro holds it in place and there's still room for my other things. When I opened my amazon box my dad actually though it was real leather. It's an awesome bag, it's veryyyyyy pink inside, but I didn't want the other colors, so I'll manage lol. It's bigger than most bags but I'm 5'9 and I think it's more comfortable than most of my other purses.

I asked for this bag for Christmas, I gave several options I'd be happy with, this one included, and this was what was given to me. I'm very happy. It is a sturdy without feeling stiff but still with a great stylish and professional look. I have a 15.6 inch widescreen laptop, which measures something like 14.8-15 inches lengthwise and about 10 inches in width. This fits with room but is not super roomy so it feels like it is secure. If you're like me and a bit paranoid when it comes to protecting your laptop, I was looking for a bag that was wide enough to fit my laptop in its separate laptop sleeve. This one does that, which to me is a major plus.

I'm not a pink person, but I like the hint of a pink detail on the outside of the bag. The inside is super pink but it also makes it particularly easy to see things. Also, unless you are spreading the bag super wide, with it just unzipped on the top, its much more that you see a pink top then being bombarded with it like when you open it wide. I can easily carry around my laptop in its sleeve in the compartment and have room in the rest of the bag for my charger, my external hard drive, a water bottle, a book, and quite a bit more if I wanted to fit it in and that's all without the bag looking strained or bulky. There are also inside pockets specifically designed to fit pens, your cell phone and a few other slim items. There's an outside pocket as well, you could easily slide a magazine or folder into that part of the bag with no problem. There are also adjustable straps, not something I have to use, but might be useful to know for someone who tends to have an issue with making a bag feel comfortable on their arm.

I highly recommend this bag. It is priced reasonably, it has enough room for extras, it fits the laptop well and it can fit your laptop in its sleeve too. If you are looking professional but not dowdy looking laptop bag or are looking for a purse replacement to also carry your laptop, then this is a great choice.
